After a journey of many years and with countless wonderful memories, Simone is leaving Shadowpath to pursue her own professional projects. We are sad, but above all grateful for our time together and wish Simone all the very best! Most memorable to us of course remain all the shows we played together and especially the releases of "Outside the Tetrahedron", "Unwounded we Bleed" and "The Aeon Discordance". On the other hand, this farewell also stands for a new beginning: soon we will present you news about how our story will continue - stay tuned! After more than six years with Shadowpath, the time has come for me to turn the page and start a new chapter. I’ve decided to put my musical activities on hold for now, which also means stepping down from my role as the band’s vocalist. A few years ago, I ventured into self-employment and started building my own business, which now requires my full attention. My time with the band has been filled with unforgettable experiences. The rehearsals, the creative process, and all the wonderful moments on and off stage will always have a special place in my heart. This decision was not an easy one, but sometimes life demands new priorities and challenges. The album we created together is a milestone for me and a cherished reminder of these amazing years. It’s a piece of work I am proud of, and it will always connect me to this musical journey. If you haven’t listened to it yet, I highly recommend giving it a try. I want to extend my deepest thanks to my bandmates, who have supported and inspired me throughout these years. I wish them all the best for the future of Shadowpath. Taken from our upcoming second album: "THE AEON DISCORDANCE" Taken from our upcoming second album: "THE AEON DISCORDANCE" It all began in Bern, with Phil initially founding the rock band Spellbound along with guitarist Ben, which then was soon transformed into a heavier direction and led led to the creation of Shadowpath. Quickly contact with drummer Sam, bassist Amos and singer Karin was established and after a few rehearsal sessions, 10 first songs were written, arranged and recorded in the shape of a demo (“Into the Shadows”). A handful of local gigs (a.o. with King Dean, Lunatica, Mind Patrol, Under my Skin) went exciting and got a very positive echo. While creating new music and further exploring new styles, the band underwent a few line-up changes, recorded a second demo EP (“Dissipating Flows”), and entered the studio at SOS Basement Rec. to produce their official debut album “Rumours of a Coming Dawn”, which was released in in 2017. In a collaboration with amuse.io from Stockholm, the album got distributed and received incredibly positive feedbacks with various reviewers drawing comparisons to bands like Opeth and Nightwish. Shadowpath then was signed to a record label and after playing a Switzerland tour together with bands like 40 Shades, Pertness, Deep Sun, Chaoseum and Elyria, the band entered the studio once again to record their awaited second album "The Aeon Discordance", released in 2024. Sweet and bitter, hopeful, glistening like a silver star in the sky of a cold December’s night: Shadowpath plays an incomparable style, creating intriguing pieces of woven acoustic dreams to their listeners.
